Tom Donoghue - Director

Tom grew up on a mixed rural enterprise in the Gunnedah District, completing agricultural studies at Sydney University (Orange Campus) and property qualifications through the University of South Australia. He has an extensive knowledge of the agricultural sector and post university, owned and operated mixed farming enterprises in the Gunnedah and Mullaley area. During this time, he furthered his professional development through the Principle Focus network completing their Management Program. Drawing on his agricultural background was a key strength as Tom forged out a new career as a property valuer. Over the last twelve years he has built a comprehensive skills base covering commercial, industrial and residential property valuations, along with extensive government work. As Director of Donoghue Property Valuations and Consultancy Tom is committed to providing DPVC clients with a professional and comprehensive approach to property valuations while maintaining a personal and prompt service.

 

Tom would like to frequent the golf course a little more and no longer plays but now enjoys watching cricket and football and horse racing.

 

Amber Donoghue - Director

Amber has always had strong skills in project management and administration which she brings to her management role with Donoghue Property Valuations and Consultancy. With husband Tom, she was a partner in their mixed farming operations and she also completed the Principle Focus Management Program. Amber has a keen interest in real estate and has undertaken a number of renovations projects on investment properties, including the DPVC building and office suites. Tom and Amber have two children, Oscar and Scarlett and they have strong family connections in Gunnedah and across the region. As Director of Donoghue Property Valuations and Consultancy Amber is committed to working in partnership with Tom and the DPVC team to ensure they surpass client expectations and consistently provide the highest level of service.

 

Amber enjoys spending time with family and friends and relaxes watering in the garden, cooking and occasionally binging a Netflix series. 

 

John Ewing - Senior Valuer

John became an Associate of the Australian Property Institute (API) in 1998 and was formerly a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (2008-2015). He is a current State Committee Member of the NSW API.

 

John is Gunnedah born and after graduating from University in 1993 has worked in Sydney, Bowral, Gunnedah and London. His Sydney and Bowral valuation experience predominantly entailed prestige residential and rural residential valuation reports while his Gunnedah experience was primarily rural based. It is his London experience undertaking high value, complex investment valuations for institutional clients that makes John unique when compared to his regional based colleagues.

 

In his spare time, much to his wife Jules’ annoyance, John likes to get up at 3am and watch the Liverpool Football Club whenever they play.

 

Anne-Maree McCann

Anne-Maree joined DPVC in 2017, bringing nearly 30 years of administration experience in both the private and Government sectors. Within 3 months she had enrolled at Western Sydney University externally to study Property Valuation and with our full support and encouragement she is now over halfway to completing her degree and could not be more excited about her future with the firm. After relocating to Lake Macquarie early 2020 Anne-Maree remained with the team and now works remotely and has a perfect work-life balance incorporating her two new favourite pastimes – fishing and kayaking!

 

Megan Canning

One of the newest members of the DPVC team, Megan comes with over 25 years’ experience in administration and managing professional teams. Megan has numerous certificates in people management, effective communication and leading a team. Megan also has an interest in social media and marketing. Outside of the office Megan enjoys time with her family and fur babies, outdoor walks, going to the gym and clean eating. Megan’s favourite location is the beach. 

 

Amanda Heinemann

Joining the team in 2020, Amanda has brought over 20 years’ experience in administration and bookkeeping fields. She is the proud owner of AMH Bookkeeping Service, is Xero certified, a registered BAS agent and is passionate about modernising administration and bookkeeping procedures. Amanda’s attention to detail is a great asset to her role on the DPVC team. Amanda enjoys horse sports and spending time with her family and friends.
